I can't do anything about the number of hours I'm required to be at work, but for the rest I want to take advantage of the longer evenings and all too fleeting Irish summer and spend as much time as I can outside in the garden and the magical surrounding countryside.
A little while ago Megan from Storybook Love Affair asked if I write any stories besides keeping this blog. I haven't written anything for a long time, but some of my recent posts and the wonderful people I've met through the blog have made me feel enthusiastic about writing again. Perhaps I'll find a tree to sit under and scribble away.
I hope you will forgive me if I don't come by to visit as frequently as I usually do.
I also hope that you will come back to visit me when I return.
In the meantime

I'll cross my fingers that you enjoy your break and pacify myself reading your 2011 posts while you are gone. I'm still a new follower so have lots of old posts to read to get to know you!

Enjoy your time away this summer! We'll see you when you come back!
ReplyDeleteSharon, you take that break. We all need that sometimes, and do sit under a tree and be inspired. Your writing is great.
ReplyDeleteRelax and refresh!
ReplyDeleteSharon I'm going to miss you! Have a lovely relaxing time - but don't forget to come back and tell us all about it!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break Sharon. I have been feeling somewhat the same. The beautiful weather and my garden are calling me to come outside more and more these days. ~~ Diane
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break Sharon, it's funny because I've been feeling the same lately. It's nice to take time away from blogging sometimes. Looking forward to your return though! :)

Hi Sharon, I do remember. I’ve looked for a copy at every book fair and auction I’ve been to since but without any luck, obviously very scarce. However, $382 is an amazing price for such a small book! The second one listed is in beautiful condition – unused publisher’s file copies are always the best ones to get. I hope you win the lottery next week, then you can treat yourself and maybe do a blog post about it at a later date! I hope you are enjoying your break – I was going to take the weekend off, but it’s wet and grey in Somerset today (Sunday) so I’m catching up with a few emails. I’ve decided I’m going to watch the river pageant on TV this afternoon and maybe get out to a couple of things on Monday and Tuesday. We visited the Templecombe medieval pageant yesterday, really good day with lots of sunshine.
ReplyDeleteSorry to leave this message on your blog – but I was unable to reply via Kontactr - don’t know why. Barbara
Enjoy your break Sharon and know I am thinking about you. It is difficult to sit behind the computer when the weather is so nice outside.
ReplyDeleteun caloroso abbraccio...ciao
